Uflect is an anonymous, daily micro-journal with a twist. It allows you to visualize themes in your life through your daily posts. More than just a journal, community sharing allows you to gain insights from other members while (optionally) sharing your own insights. Filters allow you to browse content that interests you and to reflect on how the choices you make affect the themes of your days.

How it works:

From the home screen, click the + icon to create a post reflecting on two daily thoughts: something you could have done differently and something that you feel good about. If you want to include more detail, use the My Day icons to record information about your day such as how much sleep you got or how much (or little) caffeine you drank.

After just a few posts, click the cloud icon at the bottom of the app to visualize the themes from your posts. From the cloud screen, you can click on the funnel on the top right corner to use filters to reflect on how choices may change the themes of your post. For example by clicking “things I feel good about” and “a lot” or “none” for the exercise option you can see how the choice to exercise may shape your days.

Tips
Be as specific as you can in your posts (while still remaining anonymous); the words you use shape the visualizations. Try to write with intent – it is easy to think of things you could have done differently, but it requires additional reflection to ponder the choices you made and how you can improve for the future.
